Assignment 9: Video with Voiceover
Sorry for the delay. All this technology is pretty new to me, but I think I've figured it out. It could probably still use a little more work. I hope you enjoy and it makes you think about conflict within organizations and how change is made. I also want you to think about if walk-outs, strikes, and unions are beneficial for society.

Yvette, your voice-over is great! Very well-scripted, it definitely gives meaning to the visuals you have. I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing the media you produce as you get closer to the people and issues involved in this labor struggle.
ReplyDeleteVery informative presentation. I wasn't aware of these issues that were going on with C.H. Gunther and encouraged me to research this issue more. The flow of the presentation and your diction during the presentation was very good!
ReplyDeleteOh one more thing!:) I highly recommend watching the documentary Harlan County USA which examines the "Brookside Strike" which was composed of 180 coal miners and their wives against the Duke Power Company-owned Eastover Coal Company's Brookside Mine and Prep Plant in Harlan County, southeast Kentucky in 1973.
ReplyDeleteIts a really great documentary that I watched during my undergad that I think you might be interested in.
